Your child has officially been placed in my class and I am so excited about that! I'd like to introduce myself and fill you in on a few important “Need ToKnows” for my Kindergarten classroom. My name is Amy Robson, and this is my sixth year at Broadwater after teaching at Ponderosa the previous four years. I am married to my husband Garett, and we have 2 children. Ollie is 17 and is a junior in High School, and Abbigale is 14 and is a freshman in High School. I look forward to getting to know you and your child, as well as having a successful year.
SPECIALISTS~ We will have music on Monday, Library on Wednesday and PE on Friday!
*TEACHER CONTACT~ The best time to talk with me is after school. If you leave a message, I will try to return your call as soon as possible. E-mail works great and is probably the easiest way to leave me a message during the school day. My school e-mail is:[email protected] and the phone number to my classroom is 281-6433.
*END OF DAY TRANSPORTATION~ A note is necessary to go home different than usual. Plans to go home with a friend must be arranged before school. I also have the children give me a high five before they leave our class line outside to go with you. It is the easiest way I know to keep track and make sure all students are safe as they leave school.
* PARENT-CLASS COMMUNICATION~ Your child will have a GREEN "take home" folder that will be used to bring home important notes, newsletters, etc... It is also a way for you to send notes and reminders to me, as I will expect the GREEN folder back at school each morning. It is crucial that you look through the folder with your child (especially on Mondays and Thursdays) as there may be important notes or reminders. By talking with your child and looking at his/her papers, you should be able to see what he/she is working hard at mastering.
Please remember to contact me if you ever have any questions or concerns. It is important to me that we communicate. Therefore, I do not mind a phone call, planned visit, or e-mail.
Looking forward to a great year! Mrs. (Amy) Robson
